BRIAN ROUSH, LMHC
Brian is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned his Master's Degree in Education from the Counseling Program at Purdue University, Fort Wayne. With over 13 years of experience in the mental health field, he has worked extensively with at-risk youth and families, addressing trauma, depression, anxiety, and the effects of substance abuse on family dynamics.
Brian utilizes humanistic and existential psychotherapy to meet clients where they are and assist them in achieving their therapeutic goals. He gained specialized experience in multicultural counseling and bi-cultural adjustment through serving the refugee population of Fort Wayne and has a background in gender activism and politics. Brian uses his experience working with marginal populations to create a safe and affirming space for all individuals.
Brian employs a holistic approach, focusing on client strengths, and utilizes various therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Additionally, Brian is experienced in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for trauma and utilizes behavior modification techniques.
